I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who wished me well over the last couple of months. It was a very trying time with all sorts of emotions and thoughts and ups and downs. A strange feeling of detachment from life was the worst thing of all. That’s gone now and I just take each day as it comes. I have hopes for my future and want to live long and if I’m lucky enough, have a family.
Now I’m well on the road to recovery, feeling a lot better every few days and almost healed physically. I’m getting back to normal life bit by bit and will slowly get back to work from November. I have signed up to do a half marathon in April next year with my most excellent brother. I have a follow up with the surgical team in about three weeks time and then after that there will be regular test every four months or so and all going well, that will reduce as time goes by down to once a year or so.
So thank you to everyone for your kind words and encouragement and thanks to Jo for popping in to say hello and the very funny pressie. I really appreciate the support, it means a lot, really does.
You’re a good old bunch.
